Want to grow your own fresh organic vegetables but only have a small space? This course is for those with little room who want to grow produce in pots.

What the course covers:

This is a short course which will focus on providing the right conditions to grow a variety of easy crops in containers and how to maximize production in a small space.

By the end of the course participants will have a good understanding of how to grow a variety of simple and straight forward crops in containers. Each participant can take home their own freshly sown salad pot.

What you will need on the day:

This course is taught both inside and outdoors and will involve practical work so please dress appropriately. We will provide a small container for salad planting so please be prepared to carry it home. There will be a snack for the break, with tea and coffee provided. There are toilet facilities on site.

Trainer: Sarah Waters, Harvest Growing Officer

Course location: Ladies bowling pavilion building, behind the Rotunda Cafe, Preston Park, Brighton BN1 6HN

Other donation (please choose ‘pay later’ when registering, we can take cheques or cash but we require a payment in advance to reserve your place on the course)

* In recognition of the current economic climate, and to ensure our courses are as widely accessible as possible, we are trialling a ‘pay what you can’ fee structure. Course places cost approximately £50 each, but are subsidised by our funding from the Big Lottery Fund.  Participants that are able to pay the full suggested price for the course help us to offer the lower rates to others (particularly those on low wages, full-time students or those in receipt of benefits) and to ensure we can continue to run courses in future once our Lottery funding ends in March 2013.

Why not check out the rest of our training programme or download the brochure (pdf)? If you're not sure which course is right for you, please just get in touch.
