| Where to buy local food |
|
Whether or not you grow your own, buying local food is a great way to eat healthily, try new food and support your local shops and farmers. Be sure to check out our seasonal recipe database, perfect for using up gluts and trying unknown vegetables for the first time.
We have also compiled a list of places to buy local food, please let us know if there's somewhere great we haven't listed! You can also download this list as a pdf (119Kb) or view many of these outlets on our local food map together with other resources, such as community food projects. Other useful resources are the Local Food Advisor website or the littlepurpledot ethical business directory. Unfortunately the Sussex Food Finder website is no longer available, but if you are interested in finding local food suppliers for businesses and markets, please contact us for a list.
