Gardening with less water
londonrdtomsandbuttGardeners will be all too well aware of the imminent hosepipe pan. As of 5 April, using a hose to water vegetable gardens, whether that's at home or on an allotment will be prohibited (you won't be able to use a hosepipe to clean a private leisure boat either!). Although our gardens need water to survive, gardening with less water is possible and you can accomplish this by employing a few simple techniques. Install a water butt, mulch your plants, get your watering timing right - read our water saving tips to find more.
